This policy explains what Pakistan Tax Calculator (https://taxpakistan.pk) collects, what it does not, and the choices you have. It is written to describe how this site actually works rather than to cover every eventuality generically.
The short version
- There is no account, no login and no database of users.
- Your salary and other figures are not stored in any database and are not sold, shared or used to build a profile of you.
- Figures you enter do appear in the page address, which means they reach this site’s server in ordinary web-server request logs. That is what makes a calculation shareable by link.
- Google AdSense and Google Analytics set cookies. You can opt out of personalised advertising — see Advertising.
What this site collects
Figures you type into the calculators
Every tax computation runs in your own browser. The arithmetic is not performed on a server and your figures are never written to a database, linked to an identity, or retained by us in any structured form.
There is one qualification worth stating plainly, because many calculator sites leave it out. When you enter a salary, the site writes it into the page address so the calculation can be shared or bookmarked — for example ?salary=250000. Because the address is part of the request your browser makes, that figure appears in this site’s ordinary server request logs, in the same way any page you visit does. It is not extracted from those logs, analysed, or retained beyond normal log rotation. If you would rather it did not appear at all, avoid copying or sharing the link, and clear the query string from your address bar.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which calculators are used and which pages people find useful. It records events such as a calculation being performed, the mode selected, and which tax years were compared, along with standard web measurements: approximate location by country, device type, browser, and referring page.
Analytics events include the amount entered into a calculator, because knowing the range of salaries people check is what tells us which bands to document. That amount is not tied to your name, email, CNIC or any identifier that could identify you, and no such identifier is collected anywhere on this site.
What is never collected
- Your name, CNIC, NTN, address or telephone number
- Your email address, unless you choose to send an email
- Bank details or payment information — nothing is ever sold here
- Any document you might upload — there is no upload facility
Cookies
Cookies and similar browser storage are used on this site for three purposes:
- Preferences. Your light or dark theme choice is stored in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device.
- Analytics. Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish one visit from another.
- Advertising. Google and its partners set cookies to serve and measure ads, as described below.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them does not stop the calculators working — they run entirely in your browser either way.
Advertising
This site is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or to other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You may opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices.

Ads are labelled and are placed around the content rather than inside the calculation results. Nothing you type is passed to an advertiser.
Third-party services
Three third parties are involved in running this site:
- Google AdSense — advertising. Subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics — usage measurement. Also subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Vercel — hosting. Vercel processes the requests your browser makes in order to serve the site, and keeps standard server logs.
Your choices and rights
You can use every calculator on this site with cookies blocked and JavaScript storage disabled. Nothing is gated behind consent.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR to access, correct and erase personal data held about you. Since this site holds no account and no identifiable record of you, there is in practice nothing to retrieve or delete — but if you believe otherwise, write to hello@yourdomain.pk and it will be dealt with.
Children
This site is intended for adults dealing with their own tax affairs. It is not directed at children, and no information is knowingly collected from anyone under 18.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Because it holds no accounts and no stored personal records, the usual risks associated with a breach of stored data do not arise here.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of the page will be updated. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
